My father had these. Drove me nuts. He washed his face twice a day with hot water, soap and a washcloth, still they cropped up every couple of months. So I got together my zitpack- alcohol, matches, thin sewing needles, big bobby pin, metal hair clip, cotton balls, tissues, hot water, washcloth- sat him down and cleared them out. I was surprised he sat still for it but, as I suspect is the case with Dr. Lee’s elderly patients, he enjoyed the attention. I would give him a facial, a clay mask, clear them out, massage his neck and shoulders, spend a good couple of hours with the procedure. When he ended up in a nursing home, I would do this for him every couple of months. And his nursing home roommate asked him if I would do this for him, as well. So I did. It was all about someone paying them healing attention. A sweet memory.
